Your Course Director

Des Paroz Des Paroz has been diving since the early 90's, and has been a PADI Instructor since 1996.

In 1998, Des became a PADI Master Instructor, and in 2008, he took the plunge to become a PADI Course Director.  Des was a proud member of Team Mojitos, a group of Course Director candidates at the PADI Course Director Training Course in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

Des is also an EFR Instructor Trainer, a DAN Oxygen Instructor and a TDI Instructor.  Des is a DSAT Tec Rec Gas Blender Instructor Trainer, and an Instructor Trainer in 19 PADI Specialty Programs.

Since his very first course, Des has taught with United Divers Wollongong, and is proud to now be running PADI and EFR Instructor Courses at that fine facility. 

Des has a Master of Commerce in Marketing, a Bachelors in Economics, a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  Des is also a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) and Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (FAMI), and an Associate of the Austalian Management Institute (AAIM). 

With these qualifications, and Des' well rounded knowledge and experience as a diver and instructor, Des will be able to prepare you to be not only a great dive instructor, but for a great career in the dive industry.

Des is also a Justice of the Peace in and for the State of NSW.
